What photos reveal
Phones store EXIF data inside each photo: the exact GPS position, the date and time, and the camera model. Some apps remove it when you upload, but email, file sharing and many websites keep it.
This tool redraws the image and saves a new copy, which drops all of that metadata. Text or landmarks visible in the picture itself are of course still there.
Frequently asked questions
Does it reduce quality?
The image is re-encoded at high quality; the difference is hard to see.
Is my photo uploaded?
No, it is processed on your device.
How do I check what a photo contains?
Use the Photo Info (EXIF) Viewer first.
