How the ladder works
The classic ladder game draws vertical lines for each player and random rungs between them. Following the lines from the top always leads each player to a different result. This page skips the drawing and does the same thing directly: it shuffles the outcomes with the browser's secure random number generator and gives each player exactly one.
Because every outcome is used once, nobody can end up with two results and no result is left over.
Frequently asked questions
Is the result really random?
Yes. The order comes from crypto.getRandomValues, so every pairing is equally likely.
Do I need the same number of players and outcomes?
Yes. Add blank-sounding outcomes such as "Free" if you have more players than prizes.
Is my list saved?
No. The names stay in your browser and disappear when you close the page.
